March’s Open Mic carries the same sacred and welcoming energy PARC Village is known for — with added intention as we honor Women’s History Month.
This month’s interactive lagniappe, Honoring HERstory, invites guests to leave notes of love, gratitude, memory, or affirmation on flowers that will be added to our community door. Each flower represents the women who have opened doors in our lives and continue to shape our stories.
Junk Bag Party
In celebration of International Women’s Month, The Junk Bag Party is a creative experience centered on reflection, storytelling, and transformation. This is more than designing purses — it’s about unpacking what we carry and choosing what moves forward. Your ticket includes a purse, charms, creative materials, drinks, and photo moments. First Friday Community Dance Class: Hip-Hop

The Stories We Carry
The Stories We Carry is a free, intergenerational Black History Month gathering at Parc Village curated by Candice Leigh. The event brings together community voices across generations for an afternoon of storytelling, reflection, and connection, featuring guest speakers Renella Henry, Herb “Pucci” Green, Jeanne Marie Sterling, and Quinn Foster, with hosting and spoken word by Dexter Portalis of Good Soul Poetry. Gumbo will be served, door prizes will be available, and all are welcome to attend.
