About the Class

Join us for July’s First Friday Community Dance Class — a welcoming space where dancers of all backgrounds can move, express, and connect. Each month features a new instructor and dance style to inspire confidence and joy through movement.

In July, we’re excited to welcome Lydia Young-Green for a dynamic and empowering Heels class. Whether you’re new to dancing in heels or looking to refine your skills, this open-level class is designed to help you move with strength, style, and confidence.

About Lydia Young-Green

An Acadiana native from Abbeville, LA, Lydia Young-Green holds a BFA in Performing Arts (Dance) from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and an MFA in Choreography from Wilson College.

With experience teaching and choreographing across multiple styles and levels—from youth dancers to college students—Lydia brings passion, creativity, and a supportive teaching style to every class. She’s dedicated to helping dancers feel confident, expressive, and empowered.
